Childhood Education (Grades 1-6) - BS

The Childhood Education program leads to certification to teach children in Grades 1-6. The development of a teacher of young learners requires a program that offers a combination of a strong knowledge of the discipline and theory-based pedagogical courses. Sustained field placements in diverse settings provide authentic learning opportunities throughout the program. Concentrations for the Childhood certification include: English, mathematics ,modern language (French, German, Spanish), science, social studies and women's studies.
