Office Technologies - Medical - AAS
The Medical AAS degree program prepares students for employment in private clinics, group practices, hospitals, nursing homes, therapy centers, research institutions, public health institutions, insurance companies, or for employment wherever a knowledge of medical terminology, professional procedures and ethics are required. Duties may include bookkeeping, billing, scheduling appointments, processing insurance claims, ordering laboratory tests and supplies, receiving, interviewing, and instructing patients, as well as general/administrative office responsibilities. It also provides the student with excellent preparation for secretarial positions in any business.
